Hello Muggles!
Ok, so, being someone that like to buy makeup on the cheaper side, I am disappointed frequently in the search for amazing makeup. One of the things that I chose not to spend too much money on is eye shadows because it's not part of my everyday makeup; however, when I do wear it, I want it to look awesome!!!
How I get away with cheap shadow and make it look nicer than it actually is, is shadow primer. It's 100% worth every penny. It can make the crappiest of shadows vibrant!
Urban Decay ((in my opinion)) sell the best primers. Being that I am pretty light skinned ((I like to call it porcelain)) and light haired, I don't typically go for the darker shadows. Urban Decay sells several shades of primer based on what color you are planning to put over it.
I own Sin.
Because I like to use more shimmers and light purples and things like that, I definitely don't need to get the darker color primers. This is a shimmer that I got from Sephora ((obviously)) for free on my birthday. If you are part of their reward program you get birthday presents from them if you go in on your birthday!!! ((note to you, because who doesn't like free things)). I actually got this a few years ago because, unless my birthday is in the middle of the week, chances are I am away on my birthday. :)
Now, you're probably thinking, "It's a shimmer! Why would you need a primer?" The answer to that would be, because I want to. HAHA!! Shimmer is supppppposed to be very subtle, but sometimes you just want to give it a little more pop!!
This is what the shimmer looks like by itself. You cannn see it, but it is really faint. Which technically is the point of a shimmer but I like a little more.
((I demonstrated on my hand because I already have my makeup done for the day, but if you want to see what it looks like, I have a picture of me wearing it in my 'Walk the Line' review))
I'm not joking when I say this is literally the amount that you need. It's pretty much even enough for both eyelids. A little goes a very long way!
It will look like this. The picture doesn't quite do it justice, but you can see that it's a large area of coverage from a tiny dot.
This is what the simmer looks like when it's on top of the primer. It's still pretty. It's still shimmery. It just also happens to be more noticeable. You can literally barely see the first couple of swipes compared to the swipe with primer.

Well that's all for today.
