Here's a twist... a slight retraction of Voluminous Superstar Eyeliner

Hey Muggles!

If you're not new here, you may have read my review on the Voluminous Superstar Eyeliner. It wasn't a pretty review. Overall the product sucks. The liner won't go on waterlines, it won't go over a light amount of shadow and it's almost see through when you apply it to an unmakeuped eye lid.

BUTTTTT... I found something that it's good for.

I hate spending lots of money on products, but even more than that, I hate wasting my money on a product that sucks. I am always looking for something that it can be used for and I found it.

...I was really bummed that I didn't like this liner because I had been looking for an applicator like this for a long time and I finally found one, but the product wasn't quality at all....

...you can literally see through the liner, which you should neverrr be able to do with a black liner. Black should always always alwaysssss be opaque!!!!

What this product is actually good for... is winged eyeliner!!!

If you're reading this blog, you're probably not a pro at makeup... and if you are, kudos to you and thanks for reading!! You probably think I'm a noob... and you'd be right. ;)

I am nottttt good at winged eyeliner. It takes me like, no joke, about 45 minutes to do winged eyeliner, so I never do it. On a whim, I thought... hmmmm this applicator might just help me out, AND IT DID!!! 

If you're ADD ((like me)) and already forgot what the applicator looks like, scroll back up and look at it... I'll wait...

Got it now? Awesome! So because the applicators length, I am able to base the base ((haha!!)) in the corner of my eye so the tip is out towards my brow. One the tip is in place, I was able to draw a line right down to my eye!!! 

((If you do this be careful not to apply any pressure when you're lining up the base to your eye because it will leave a huge mark because the whole thing is an applicator))

It makes winged eyeliner soooo simple!!! 

The only thing is because the quality of the product itself is subpar, you have to go over the line with a better liner if you want it to stay. ((I'm mean, you don't have to, but I definitely chose to)) I used my favorite liquid liner, Walk the Line by Hard Candy, over it and it stayed alllll day!! It was awesome! The quickest I've ever done winged eyeliner!!!

...but seriously, I wouldn't buy the product. It's not good quality at all, but if you already own it, here is a use for it!!

Sephora Brand Girl Talk.... and Girllll I'm talking about it!!

Hello Muggles. :)

One of my favorite eye shadows of all time came in this $20 kit. It had like 8 different color shadow, 4 different blushes, a few different lip palates, lip sticks, nail polishes... It was one of those walmart special things for girls that just want to own makeup.

Something like this....

...but not actually this.

Anyway...my favorite color was this like tanish pinkish color that was pretty natural looking.

Now, when I say my favorite... I mean... there is none left!! Not even like some stuck on the sides of the tin. It's completely gone. I've been looking for a color that is at least similar and I found one at Sephora.

Now, if you're reading this, I'm sure that you've gone into a Sephora before. It can be pretty intimidating, but it's actually separated pretty well.What I like to do is look at my favorite lines, ((Kat Von D and Urban Decay)) find what I want, and then bring it over to the Sephora Brand section and then buy from there ((like this eye shadow that I bought for $10)). Both Kat Von D brand and Urban Decay, can be worth it in quality sometimes, but with a shadow, there isn't anything that super better than another ((unless you want to buy Mac, which is pretty pricey if it's not something that you're going to use every single day)).

All that being said, back to the point. I finally found something similar to my favorite of all time shadows.

Girl Talk

As you can see from the outside, this has glitter in it. My favorite color did not, but this was the first thing that I found that was close, so I went with it. I bought this last Saturday when I went to the mall with my Makeup Guru and I've worn it every day since, except one.

If you want to buy it, here is all the info that you need, but as always I will put the product info at the end.

I desperately tried to get a good picture, but until I get a lighted mirror in my office, sometimes the flash won't do the products justice.

This is a little better than the last picture... it's just so difficult to show how awesome this color is.

You can see here where I am talking about how it's almost a natural color. Glitter makes it a little more noticeable, but I am in love. :)

Fit Me!... which definitely fits well!

Hello Muggles!! :)

If you've read this blog before, you've seen pictures of muh face... and you know that I am superrrrrr white. HAHA I literally can't even!! 

But, what you may not know is that my skin is combination skin. It's a mix between oily and dry, which thank goodness, by a miracle, has made me not have too many break outs in my life. The skin on my face is pretty smooth, so I never had much use or need for concealer. But with age, comes dark circles. HAHA!!! Never really sleep well anymore ((which I am sure going to get worse when me and future hubby decide to make other muggles)) so I was looking for something to help!

I introduce you to Fit Me! very aptly named as it matches my skin perfectly!! I really like it because in the days of my mom, liquid foundation was all that was available and I hated that stuff!! This is a nice stick shine free foundation that doesn't weigh your skin down at all. As soon as I put it on, I can't feel that I am wearing it, yet the dark circles are gone!

People always called me porcelain because I am so white that if I'm in the sun for 30 seconds I get a sunburn. I chuckled when that is literally the color that I had to buy to match me. :)

I may be a little sensitive. My dark circles are really not super noticeable, but people always ask me if I am tired... so they must be noticeable to a degree.

And just like that, they are all gone!! :) Porcelain skin under my eyes.

This stuff is super easy to apply. It's like lipstick for your face. HAHA! If you have any question feel free to ask. As always, product info is listed below.

Max Volume Plus.... THE BEST MASCARA EVERRRR

HELLOOOOOOO Muggles :)

I bring you good news this time! I just bought the best mascara EVERRRR!!!

IT'S LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVERRRRR!

Ok, so if you're new here, backstory... I hate clumped together eyelashes. You're probably thinking, well duh who likes it... I mean I don't like my eyelashes to be stuck together at like all. I will take 20 minutes and eye and individually separate my eyelashes if that's what it takes to not have them stuck together.

Some people think they agree and then I see them in public like... 

And I'm like... I don't think you agree persayyyy. HAHA! 

People like this... don't understand what I am talking about.

((If you like your makeup like this... it's not a bad thing. Some people rock it, I just for my personal self don't like it on me. It's not the look I go for.)) #NoHateHere

For fun, I bought some wet and wild brand stuff. If you're not new here, you may have read that in my last blog and saw my 'Kill the Batman' lipstick, well I also picked up a mascara because I liked the bristles on the applicator. I was not at allllll disappointed! This stuff is amazing!!!

Wet and Wild Max Volume Plus... this is what it looks like :) Memorize it!

The brush that started it all! Haha!! But seriously... the reason why this brush intreguied me was because normally when you see applicators like this the bristles are very short and these are actually pretty long! I thought they might separate my lashes up to my standards.

And it did!!!!!!!!

You'll see here that very few lashes actually stuck together!!!!

SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOO Happy with my purchase. I may never buy another mascara ever!! It's perfect for my wedding too because it comes in waterproof. :) No black tears for this princess bride!!! :)

Cherry Picking and Killing the Batman

Hello Muggles!!! I'm back :)

Thanks to the wonders of allergy medicine, I'm finally wearing makeup again. I can't even begin to express how much I missed it. Rubbing your eyes is nice, buttttt I'd rather not have everyone ask me if I am tired 100x a day. HAHA!

While I was away, I picked up a new products for review. 

One of the fun things that I bought was Cherry Picking, a lipstick by Wet and Wild. 

Wet and Wild is one of those brands that is super cheap and their products can go either way. Sometimes they suck and other times they are super amazing and you can't believe that it's so inexpensive!

Well, this is one of those times where the product is pretty super amazing, but my person review is a little mixed. You'll see from the ((I believe)) 17 pictures how it's insane!!!

The culprit: Cherry Picking

Normally I would sing praises of a lipstick this vibrant, butttt, I'll admit that I was expecting a cheap crappy lipstick and was not thinking that I would be quite so bold today. As I am sure that you can tell, I do not post these reviews from home, so I was not ready to look like I want to kill the Batman at work.

It is really bright, it's pretty awesome for a night out... for work, not so much!

 Now comes the fun part.... getting it off my face. Even if you aren't trying to remove it, I'd definitely suggest blotting, It won't dull it almost at all and allllll of this comes off. Just better if you don't want to get your lipstick on everrrrrything.

Attempting to get off a lipstick can be a lot easier if you apply some lip gloss....in most cases...

It makes it super slimy and easy to wipe

This stuff is so insane, you can actually see the color saturating the tissue!!!!

...after seeing the first blot, and now this, you'd think that it's probably all off by now.

...you'd be incorrect! This stuff is crazy! At this point I rubbed my lips almost off!! and I still have stained lips!!!

I'm gonna let you in on secret.... you're not going to like it.

...if you put a little antibacterial on a tissue, it will help a lot....It will sting and it's really no good for you, but when you're desperate, you're desperate!!!!

Almost back to normal, it'll have to do. HAHA!

I would definitely recommend this lipstick!! It's super fun, but I don't know that I would suggest putting it on while you're at work. HAHA!!
