Bad to the Bronze!

Hello Muggles!!

Confession:
This isn't exactly a new new product.
Sometimes I want to buy products that I like more than once.

So, while this isn't entirely new, it is a new color!!!

I have been on a bronze kick ever since I got my hands on those BirchBox items!!!

So for today, I have....

Maybelline Color Tattoo: Bad to the Bronze

Even though this was a product that I have liked in the past, and still like now, I need to get some new brushes to apply it better.

If you recall ((and if you don't go back and check out the former blog)) I bought this product in a crayon version before. The crayon goes on very easy and effortlessly, while not having the correct brushes, the cream eye gel was more work than it should have been.

...but I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE it! ^_^

You can see here the consistency of just how different gel cream shadow is. You're probably thinking, well duh, but this is why you can't just use any normal brush.
((when I buy the right brush for this, I will make another blog))

I have to admit, when I see close ups like this, before I see a final product, I'm like....EWWWWWW this looks so weird, but that's the great thing about makeup... no one is this close to your face!!!
((and of course I added my liner :) ))

I love the color!!!!
Then again, I knew I would :)
*TEHEHE*

((Lipstick colors can be found in NYX Lip Creams blog))

I would suggest the crayon over the singular pallet just for the convenience, but I 100% recommend the color!! :)

Nomad- Desert Sands (through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives)

Hello Muggles!

Hope your Monday is going well. Mine is a bit crazy and exhausting.

I am still digging through the Birch Box.

I am really enjoying this!! I for sure want to join this after the wedding!

When I looked up the product that I have for you today, I was please to find that they they are PETA Certified Cruelty-Free. I don't look up to see if all my make-up products are, but I know for some people this is a huge selling point.

::WARNING::
It doesn't appear that you can buy these buy the color. It looks like you can only buy it in a pallet of 6.

Alrighty, lets get to it!!!

Nomad: Desert Sands

I love these bronzy colors! I feel like it gives a little color while still looking a bit natural. This color went on really easily. It is a powder based shadow, so it takes a few swipes but stayed on for, no joke, 2 days! I ended up sleeping in it because I got home late and was completely able to wear it all of yesterday and part of this morning!

((Just chillin in my Jack Skellington onsie))

I don't know that I would buy this product. Only because of the method in which you have to purchase it. If I could spend an obscene amount of money on makeup, I'd go for it, but because it's pricey, I think I'd say away, but it is a really nice product.

A for effort :)

Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind: Pink Sequin

Hello Muggles!

Today's blog is short and sweet.

Unlike yesterday where I did two products because one review would have been too short, today I have had a serious case of itchy eyes, so I had to opt out of doing an additional product review.

More from the BirchBox!

Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind:

This lovely sparkly gem was a delight!

If you're looking for a gloss with a little color and lot of sparkle, this is the product for you.
I, myself, am not one for gloss. I like mattes because I don't like my lips glossy and sticky all day; but even I am occasionally subjected to the glittery awesomeness.

I will say this, despite the glossy ((slimy if you will)) finish, it stayed on all day. I applied it at 9 this morning and it's almost 3 now and it's still on! I've eaten and had a coffee and it's still on.

If you don't mind spending $21 on a lip gloss, I'd for sure get this product!!

Pixi and Dr Lipp... Super Villain or Super Hero?

Hello Muggles!

I am so sorry to hear that when I have been adding links for the products at the bottom of my reviews that hey have been unclickable ((new word I just made up)). I just found out how to make them clickable for your convenience. I am going to go back and edit my other blogs so they can be clicked. :)

Yesterday's blog sparked some controversy. A lot of people actually liked the product that I gave a bad review and seemed to be a bit offended that I didn't like it. HAHA! So I just wanted to clear the air there. I know that everyone has a different opinion and this blog is mine. So, if you're reading, you are always welcomed to disagree with me! That's why whether or not I like a product I always include the product purchasing information. Everyone has their own opinion and tastes. It's impossible to always agree.

With that out of the way.... today I am going to review two products!!

That's right! 2!!! :)

One of them is a Lip Balm so I thought it'd be incredibly boring to be like... Oh hey, my lips aren't chapped... then end. HAHA! So I decided to throw in an eye pallet for good measure.

Dr Lipps Miracle Balm:

Both products are still from the BirchBox that my friend gave me.
((Look how cute!!))

I really liked it!! I feel like it wasn't like a normal balm/chapstick. It seemed like it actually was repairing my lips. It went on pretty thick, so you definitely only need the one coat. But it feels great and it looks glossy! :)

One hilarious thing that I found when I went to find the ordering information was that it's called "Original Nipple Cream". HAHAHA I'm not sure why; it specifically says Nipple cream for your lips. I don't know if they are going for a dirty vibe for the term lips, I'm not sure if people really put it on their nipples? Haha but it's called it none the less. It's also European, so if you would like to order it, it's in pounds.

Next!! :)

Pixi by Petra's Lavender Bloom:

These two colors looked so pretty to me! I am really glad my friend didn't want them!!!

Now, I'm no expert at this, so pallets aren't my forte... I just like to mess around with things until they look cool. So for this, I decided since the tan/gold color had sparkles that I'd put it in the crease and have the pale pink on my lid.

I really liked this product. For getting it for free, it had a nice quality. I used primer first, but I only had to apply a couple of brush strokes before my eye was covered in the color.

And if you've read my blog even at least once before you'll know that I like to have black liner on my top lid. It's just kinda one of those staples for me.
((Unless I am doing a fun color liner, but there is still always a top lid liner))

It's funny, it looks like I covered my whole lid with gold when I look down, but when I look up it looks more pink.

I would definitely recommend both of these products. Both were pretty good quality. I'll definitely be using them again!!!

Thanks for reading!!

I couldn't find the exact same colors unfortunately. It might be colors they sent out specifically as samples.

ModelCo Lip Lacquer..... I'm not a vampire but I look like one

Hello Muggles!! :)

First off, if you don't get the "I'm Not A Vampire" quote...
https://youtu.be/ODhMdujZeEY

Secondly, one of my friends from Mr. Muggle Makeup Geek's work does Birch Box and gave me some things that she wasn't going to use for me to review!

If you haven't heard of it, for $10 a month or $110 for the year a box of cosmetics gets sent to your house with various type of things! There are different kinds that you can sign up for. I've seen date night box and chocolate boxes and now I've been seeing wine boxes.

For someone like me, it's kind of a cool way to sample a lot of products for review; but with the wedding around the corner, I just haven't signed up for it yet.

If you're interested, I'll put the link at the bottom of the page where I will also put the product that I am reviewing. :)

What we have today is ModelCo's Lip Lacquer:

Fair warning; I did not like this product. Hahaha!!

((although I did think that the size was really cute!))

Now keep in mind this was a free product, so I didn't get to pick the color... and I would have NEVER picked this one!!

This is me... before I put on any lip lacquer. I knewwww that this was going to be a color mistake for me!

My lips are pretty pink on their own, so for most of the time, I just put chap stick on and if I do put on stick it's super bright or dark red :)

...This is me after.... My lips pretty much match the color of my skin. And I am a fairly pale person. the last thing that I need to make myself even paler!!!

Pros:
1) It smelled really nice
...that's it

Cons:
1) Even though it claims that it's long lasting and non sticky, I came right off and was soooo slimy!!! I'm not sure how long you're supposed to let it dry before it becomes long lasting. Ain't nobody got time for that!
2) This color is horrible!! I really don't know why it's an option. ((I'm sorry if you like it, this is just my opinion obviously))
3) It literally sunk into my lips like a chap stick. I had to put on about 4 layers to make it this color... and this is the color it's supposed to be!

Over all... definitely a hard pass for me. Hard hard pass!

Thanks for reading!!

Am I not purpley enough for the purple club? Simply Vamp

Hello Muggles!!

I said in my last actual makeup blog that I would let you know know what the Simply Vamp color looked like on it's own since I mixed it with the red.

I don't know if we're going for the femme fatal or vampire meaning of the word Vamp here... but both would for sure fit!

While a color this dark and purpley isn't my particular cup of tea, it mixed beautifully with the Simply Red. :)

((Ignore the outlet behind me. One of these days I will do backdrop pictures))

In short, I love it, but not alone...

but my Princess can sure rock it!!

The link for purchasing this product can be found at the bottom of the Nyx Lip Cream blog entry.
