Hi Muggles!!!!!!!!!
I have missed this blog so much!!!!! I have heard from a couple friends that they actually read this!!! It's exciting. I write it for fun, so it's nice to know that other think that it's fun too!
Reason for hiatus:
1.) As I've mentioned in earlier post, I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!!! In a month and a half I will be Mrs Muggle Makeup Geek :) Haha :)
2.) We are super short staffed at work. I have barely been wearing makeup in general! It feels weird, but at the same time, sometimes you need a break to be able to rub your eyes whenever you want. :)
I am going to be taking a break from socialness for all of next month while I pack up to move in with Mr Muggle Makeup Geek, so hopefully while I go through things I will be able to at least make some silly blogs for all of you. :)
One of my beloved Muggles, Princess, bought me some lip creams!! So I finally have some new products to review for you. :)
Nyx Lip Cream
This one is called Simply Red.
Honestly, anything that goes on this simple is an insta favorite. Not that many lip sticks don't go on this way, but I love the easy to tote around exterior. :)
This is what it looks like when it's on. :) My only complaint is that I thought that it was going to be a bit darker. It's still an excellent color. Super bright red!!! But I am a dark soul HAHA!!
The great thing is, Princess got me 2!!! :)
The second one is called Simply Vamp. The next blog that I do, I'll wear just this color, or at least will show you what just this color looks like.
I added this color on top and got the perfect color!!!!
Well... obviously, what's life without being a little silly!
These two colors pretty much made the perfect color for me. This is around the darkness that I normally strive for.
((I'm so white, you'd think I'd not want something so dark, but I have never been a fan of light lipstick, so complexion be darned! HAHA))
No what I always like to do, is add a top coat of lip stain. Even though, the one that I use is bright red, it really doesn't change the color at all. ((I mean, if I was wearing something lighter it would, so don't go buy a red lip stain and think that it will never change the color. LOL!))
The reason I like it, is because cream based lip sticks get all over everything. If you accidentally touch your lip 8 hours after application you get it on you. After a stain dries in like a matter of 5 minutes, I can kiss my hand and you can't see anything. It stays on almost the entire day. ((I've actually slept in lip stain before and as long as I don't sleep face down, my lip stain is still on the next day... I don't encourage that though. I only did it once out of pure exhaustion))
So there you have it!! Great product! I'd definitely go buy it. Especially if you like cream based lip sticks :) Only suggestion is that if you want a certain color that you think one is, buy a shade or two darker.
